Just a few of the over 1000 photos I took today! The first couple are with the 10.5mm Fisheye I rented for the weekend. :D I would normally put this in the photography section, but I wanted everyone to get a good look. ;)

I hate I missed it. At the last minute we decided to go to the State Fair instead of the Air Show. I went two years ago and it was awesome.
You got some really nice pics.

Those are awesome pictures! I don't know how you got such close and clear pictures of fighter jets in motion! CRAAZZY!

I haven't been to an air show in years and years. When we were first married, our first house was on base...right at the edge of base housing, which was maybe 400 yards away from the main runway of Mather AFB. We got to watch all the air show stunts from the comfort of our own front yard. It was mega cool. :D (B-52's literally rattling stuff off of shelves on occasion was not quite so cool...but almost! )

    A) thanks for putting a DUW on my title :D

    B) All the close ups of the planes in action are from my 70-300mm. I got quite a nice zoom out of it.

    C) I would assume it would be cool and annoying at the same time living on base. I wanted to stay late outside the base and watch the C-5 galaxy take off, but no dice. :(

    A) 'Twasn't me... :P But you're welcome on behalf of the entire staff. :D

    B) Even if I had the best camera with the coolest zoom lens...those planes would zip through my field of vision faster than I could snap a picture! :O Those kinds of shots take skillz!

    C) I always enjoyed living on base...would still do it from time to time except that our family outgrew typical base housing. Maybe someday, he'll be a wing commander and we'll HAVE to live on base...but those houses are usually pretty sweet!

I've seen the Galaxy take off...its like watching an actual miracle take place. No way that thing should be able to get off the ground! And watching B-52's land....that will set you to praying if you don't know any better, because they come down nose-first...very freaky to see!

    Well Thanks for the compliments!

They had some nice size aircraft there. The C-5, a B-52 as well, a KC-130, a C-17, and then for some reason a Delta 757. I don't know why people were so anxious to go in the 757, I only want to be on a passenger plane if I have too. LOL
