Noob question- sore on BP's head
Sorry if this has been answered already. My BP has developed a small sore on his head recently. He doesn't seem to be in pain, still eats, acting normal, etc. Sorry the pics not better. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._1030942_n.jpg

My Female Normal has this same mark, but shes in deep shed and getting ready to get it off. She is used to rubbing around a lot during shed because for 3 years she was in a gigantic tank with extrememly low humidity.

It goes away over time, but that one looks pretty fresh, i would push some Neosporin without painkiller on the wound and let it heal up. As long as it doesn't get worse or spread, you should be fine.

    Aww poor thing :(
I would suggest maybe cleaning it with diluted iodine and then putting neosporin on it.
After a few sheds It should be fine.
However if it does get worse I would def bring it to a vet.

Looks like it might be from your snake rubbing it's head against the screen, or if you are using a stand alone tub it may be rubbing on the underside of the lid...

I'm using a uth so I guess a burn is unlikely. He just shed so I'm not sure if that might have something to do with it. I do a have a screen lid but I haven't seen him rub on it in months.

Thanks for all of the help :)
