    stiff hatchling?
I bought a corn snake at a expo. I have had the snake for about a month now and she is a good feeder. She has the proper hot and cool spots( she's not my first) Last night when I went to food her she looked as though she was killing the pray as soon as she saw it but never touched it, she then went into an odd spasm ,so stiff she looked like she was dead, she came to for a bit, looked like she was going to bite me then spasmed again, this morning she's acting the same. I have never held her or anything, my other older snakes are healthy. She was from BHB so it wasn't a bad breeder.

I know it's not normal but if it's genetic it would make me feel better, I have had her quarantined, never have I held her nor played with her but I'm a bit afraid of it being a virus, our area has no herp vets, only one that will deal with rabbits as an "exotic" pet.

Unless she picked a virus up at the show I have no idea where she would get one. I know no one with snakes, she never left the house and I never held her. I do have a boa that we also got at the show, she has not showed any signs of issues, I never pick them up when they are new nor do I pick up one snake then another. This is just odd, never have I had a sick snake.
