    Quarantine Question
Hey everyone. I was planning for a couple of weeks today to move up one of my racks from the basement up into the reptile room. Then I realized I have a snake in quarantine in that room.

Call me paranoid, but I'd just like your opinion. There shouldn't be any problem with infecting my current colelction if I move the rack? The rack has never been used and has had no contact with the quarantined snake.

Just wanted to make sure nothing can be transported.

There shouldn't be a problem, but I would give the rack a thorough cleaning with a sanitizer (bleach solution or equivalent) just to be sure.

The rack is made of what I would call laminated particle board... I use the Mainstream (I believe this is the brand name) shelving from Walmart for my hatchling racks. How would I go about cleaning something like this?

Edit: Mainstays.. Here's a link to the shelf.

I think just a wipedown using a washcloth soaked in a mild bleach solution. That shouldn't damage the rack at all, but it would kill any germs that might be on the rack.

Either Bleach or even better, Chlorhexadine so it doesn't leave any odor at all and dries up quickly. But yes i would sanitized it completely before, JUST to be sure that it's very clean.
