Interesting Find.. Sad Ending

Long story short today at work i was digging a hole and unearthed this little guy and I knew it wasnt just a worm when i saw him because his head but sadly when i unearthed him i clipped him with the shovel on accident too bad he was a cute lil guy i believe he is a Smiths Black-headed Snakehttp://www.reptilesofaz.org/Snakes-S...artsmithi.html i could be wrong but thats wat he looks like to me if anyone wants to check that website out and prove my guess wrong feel free to i dont mind being wrong lol well here are the pictures of the poor little guy

ya he was and he was smaller than a pencil in width and maybe 2 or 3 inches long my coworker thought he was a worm but i could see his little tongue flicking and he was opening his little mouth tryin to bite me according to the website listed above he is Mildly Venomous but i dont think he would have done any harm to me too bad i did alot of harm to him
