    Controlling UTH!!!
So I need to revamp how I'm controlling my UTH. As far as I know before now it has been on 105 which i know was still high but That was as low as the rheostat went. Now my dad just gave me an update at the humidity is great but omg the probe is reading 123!!!!!! That is not acceptable. Imma be home in a couple weeks for about 2 days. Ive heard people using dimmer switches. Can someone give me a detailed explanation to using a dimmer switch and hooking it up. I know I can use a dimmer switch Im just clueless as to how to get it to control the temp.

just adjust the actual dimmer until you reach your desired temp at the probe.

Tell Dad to run over to HD and get a plug in lamp dimmer made by lutron.

Yeah you'll have to mess with it for a couple days to narrow down the right temperature, but dimmer switches are good when in a hunch.

I think I will just get the dimmer with the plug in. Because I dont feel like messing with wires and what not. Imma buy it here and then when I go home hook it up asap. My parents don't quite seem to understand why the temp of the heating pad is so important.

Dimmer switches have to be adjusted quite a bit if your room temps change a lot. If they stay decently constant, you don't have to fiddle with it much.
