    Weird color change--Is this IMG, or extreme lightening before laying?
    I have a yellowbelly female that I've been pairing up with my ivory male. She appears gravid, and I've been expecting her coloration to lighten up. However, with her most recent shed, she underwent a sudden dramatic color change that seemed more extreme than usual. Has anyone else seen this before?

    Here's a pic I took with my phone when I first saw her after her shed:

    I tried to get some photos which show the variegation in the color. In other words, she did not lighten evenly, and there are parts which lightened less than others.

    Maybe this is just an extreme case of lightening before laying? Any thoughts?

    That is 100% glow IMO.

    You're both probably right. That seems most likely, but this was more extreme and unusual than any glow I'd ever seen before. Thanks.
