Feeding q help!!!!

Hey everyone, ive had my ball python for about a month and a half, i got him from petco and all they knew is he was under a year old, they told me to go on fuzzies i no its way to small but i did feed him that for about 3 weeks then i moved to hoppers which were exactly as big as his girth, he weighs about 120 grams, today i went to get small adult mouse its a little bigger then his girth, however it way 20 grams and i think its just too much the hopers weighed 9. help feeding night is tonight

It's probably a little big, but I doubt it will be a problem for him. He should be fine. :)

He should take it no problem. People underestimate ball pythons, they can handle a lot!

are you sure, im really scared that he might brake his jaw or stretch his stomach too much at what weight did all you guys start feeding adult mice?

My new enchi took a 52 gram rat "crawler" as its first meal for me @ 150 grams empty.

Their jaws can open up to like a 180 degree angle I believe, or very close to it. If the prey is too big the snake will not eat it, and if it truly believes it can handle it and it was actually too big the snake will throw it up. I have only had adults and all were on rats when I got them, so I can't help you with the weight thing.


Post a picture of your snake next to a coin or a dollar bill or something so we can see how big it is.

They can handle really big meals. I'm sure you've seen the films on TV of anacondas, retics, & AROCKS with redicously huge bellies after eatting huge meals.
