    female mating behavior????
do the females typically do this?

i put in my male pastel to her tank, and as soon as she catchs wiff of him. she becomes very awake. wanderering her tank pushing out her scent glands and i guess scenting?

clear liquid from her tush. :)

    and wagging her tail?

and when the male touches her, she high tails it away. and i mean with her tail up high and again wagging scent glands. this goes on for hours.
    mind you.

whats going on? any help input would help.

There was a video on youtube by Ralph Davis and he showed a female exhibiting this behavior with a male in her tub. I can't find it right now, but he stated in the video that this behavior was normal. Mind you I do not have any personal experience when it comes to breeding BP's, it was just a video I saw. You might want to wait for a more experienced person to give you an answer....:)
