    Looking for Blood python breeder
Hello, in the future I would like to get a blood python. I don't want a fancy morph thats going to cost hundreds of dollars as I'm not a breeder just a fan of pythons in general. Is there anyone on here who would ship a hatchling snake to Fairbanks, Alaska, or know of a breeder who would? I'm not wanting one now, just sometime in the near future. I mean, I could get one off of LLLreptile, but I really want to go the more respectable breeder route, although I got my hatchling ball python from them on June 2nd 2010 because I couldn't find a breeder who would ship here, and my ball is doing awesome.

    Thanks!

Probably need someone certified with Delta Dash, if they even go up that way, or have it held at the local Hub.

What are temps like up there right now?

Well anything I've gotten from other states usually ships fed ex over night. Then I get it help for pick up at one of the fed ex places so it's not driving around on the truck.

Temps are getting colder, right now it's 50's. It's getting close to 9 months of crappy winter.

I lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 8 years, I really love Alaska...

I bet it is difficult to keep reptiles up there though, do you have a generator to backup your herps heat in case of a power outage? In the winter a blackout would be a death sentence for your snakes...

Good luck with yer new Blood Python!

I keep 40 hour heat packs on hand, and lots of them! They are enough to keep the tubs in the mid 80's.

I've never had a power out yet that lasts longer than an hour. They get to fixing the problem really fast, especially if it's in winter.

I'm sure in the future I will get a generator.

I'm just waiting for the call and then I'll be off to fedex.... :D :D :D
