Shipping frozen rodents?

I've got ASFs coming out of my ears and was just wondering, for curiosity's sake, how one would ship frozen rodents.
Dry ice, of course, but what sort of box? Next-day shipping? If you've ordered frozen, please help. Thanks!

Be sure to check into the regulations for whatever shipping company you use! We've shipped frozen rodents through FedEx and you need a special sticker on the box if it contains dry ice.

In the colder months, it is fine to ship a box of frozen rodents with standard priority shipping.

Dry ice isn't really necessary for over-night shipping on 20+ ASFs.
It's best to ship in winter, and you can use the USPS priority flat rate shipping for easy shipping on frozen animals. It's good because it's a flat rate no matter the weight, and they can survive a trip in the winter, over 2-3 days just fine. :)

If you're only shipping a few, it might be a problem, though.

So does that mean..if I got my f/t rodents shipped here in winter where temps are always below zero..I won't have to pay as much for shipping?

Yepperooski. So long as the seller will ship them that way.

But, to Alaska, it may take more than 2-3 days if it's from across the country. So be sure that if you're buying and shipping priority, it's from somewhere very close by to you.

The closer, the better in general, but for Alaska or Hawaii especially. Hawaii is the worst. :rofl:
