so this isnt a question but more of a security comment about ball pythons. i finally go to the dollar store and cover 3 sides of his enclosure with black construction paper and bought fake plants and vines /w leaves. as soon as i put everything in and locked his lid up he was out of his hide in a heart beat crawling everwhere and exploring. i was skeptical about putting that stuff in there cause i notice alot of people dont(in videos i have seen) but i think he truly likes it and feels more secure about where he is at.

The reason he came out exploring everything is because you changed his environment, so it will take a few days for him to readjust to the changes. Just make sure you look over the vines real good and make sure that there are no sharp hooks or loops in the end of the vines. If they have any of those suction cups and hooks for hanging make sure you use some pliers and squeeze the hook closed around the vine so your snake won't get injured accidentally. And if the vines have loops in the ends just cut them out so the snake won't get caught in them...
