    CB70 Question
In the market for a new rack... Is 3" flexwatt (belly) really enough heat for a CB70 tub? Majority of the racks out there only use 3", but I am neurotic and dont think its enough :)

It depends on where you put it. If it's underneath the tub, it's plenty. If it's going down the side or back or the rack then it's not enough.

I use the ReptleBasics.com CB-70 racks for my breeder females. Rich uses 2 strips of 3” recessed flexwatt on them and since my breeder females generally eat well I would say it is enough.

RBI racks have a very quick turnaround and have some of the best customer service in the industry. I currently have 3 CB-70's and 5 of their 32qt sweaterbox racks and highly recommend RBI.

    Ditto what Agent73 said...

I've used the RBI CB70 3-tub rack for 3+ years, and the two strips of 3" flexwatt (belly heat) do a great job of keeping the warm side toasty in all three tubs. A Herpstat t-stat keeps the warm side 92-94F and the cool side maintains 80-82F.

In the winter when the temps drop really low outside, I use an oil-filled heater to supplement ambient temps in my snake room. Very satisfied with the performance of the RBI rack with two strips of 3" flexwatt.

    Good luck :)

I use 2 strips of 4" flexwatt on my CB-70's. But 2 strips of 3" would be enough.
