Wierd feeding prob kinda.
It have a pretty young bp that I took over taking care of for my gfs cousin. When he go it they said it had already eaten, but I dont think so. The day after he got it, it shed and it looked like its first shed. I didnt eat for almost a month & a half. I assisted fed it because it lost like 10g and it was only 58 when he got it. It assists feeds fine as soon as you get just a tiny bit of a mouse in its mouth it coils and takes over fine. But it wont eat live, pre killed or f/t by its self. Temps are good, humiditys fine, everythings good. It just wont strike anything by its self. I dont know, what do you guys think
Re: Wierd feeding prob kinda.
What are you trying to feed it?
I start my hatchlings on asf fuzzies and If I don't have them at the moment I go get mice hoppers that have their eyes open.
After 3-4 feedings I switch to rat fuzzies
Re: Wierd feeding prob kinda.
ur doing better with urs than the one I got recently shes older but wont feed on her own either and nothing the right size only fuzzies or pinks and with assist to where its started down her throat.....I know with some to jump start them to feed in their own you do it but aside from that I'm at just as much of a loss
Re: Wierd feeding prob kinda.
Try putting in inside the warm hide overnight, it should be gone in the morning, I have had some shy eaters start out like this and now are great strikers as soon as I slide the bin out.
