    Wierd feeding prob kinda.
It have a pretty young bp that I took over taking care of for my gfs cousin. When he go it they said it had already eaten, but I dont think so. The day after he got it, it shed and it looked like its first shed. I didnt eat for almost a month & a half. I assisted fed it because it lost like 10g and it was only 58 when he got it. It assists feeds fine as soon as you get just a tiny bit of a mouse in its mouth it coils and takes over fine. But it wont eat live, pre killed or f/t by its self. Temps are good, humiditys fine, everythings good. It just wont strike anything by its self. I dont know, what do you guys think

What are you trying to feed it?

I start my hatchlings on asf fuzzies and If I don't have them at the moment I go get mice hoppers that have their eyes open.

After 3-4 feedings I switch to rat fuzzies

Make sure you put him in the smallest, most stress free habitat possible. And of course by this i mean small Rubbermaid, Sterilite, or Iris tub that you have, with the temps and humidity in the perfect zones, with a hide that is very small to you, but would be perfect to him. I've had my snakes fit into things i never thought they could coil up in, but they prefer the smaller hide when i get them options.

Once the husbandry is on spot, he will calm down and start to be a little more active. Try and feed him the smallest meal you can find and see if he doesn't get it soon. 58 and a low of 48 grams are both a very concerning age/weight. This is when feeding is most important, but as long as he keeps down his meals when assist fed, you should notice him starting to get the hang of things.

Yea Ive been assisting him. Hes up to 80grams as of now and and everythings spot on. He just wont strike lol...I have a feeling hes going to be like a aligator at feeding time, just opens his mouth and expects me to drop it in. =P

Soo well in my last post I was talking like that about him being like a aligator. Well it happened....lol yea...really. I went to fed her. I picked her up and put the mouse to her mouth like when I go to assist fed her...and she just opened her mouth. I put it in and as soon as she felt it in her mouth, she coiled it and did the rest.

Try putting in inside the warm hide overnight, it should be gone in the morning, I have had some shy eaters start out like this and now are great strikers as soon as I slide the bin out.
