Can you have too big of a male to breed with a young female?
I always see little males breeding with females i never big ol' rusty veteran balls breeding a virgin female. I hope after a few years they are still going strong, i would think so... What do you guys do?

Darn it, should I sell my 2000 gram clown because he's too big :P

I have a 3200 gram male...he's not fat either! I may throw him in with a female later in the season.

I will say I won't breed a huge male to a small female for her sake, lol, but once she hits 1500+ grams all bets are off

Good to hear, i just wanted to make sure. So what kind of maintenance feeding schedule do you all keep your adult males on for feeding so they don't get fat and lazy? I take it if you gave them a year off of breeding they don't forget or refuse to do so, i mean it is a male (we don't forget our only purpose, haha)? I know each snake is different and all, im just talking generally.

All of my adult males get fed once a week.
Under 1000 grams generally get weanlings and my big boys have been fed smalls.
