Re: Rack questions-Animal Plastic reviews or product suggestions
I have two AP racks on a Herpstat ND. I've been very pleased with my AP racks and would recommend them. I also built my own rack from a 5 shelf resin shelving unit I got from the Home Depot. I ordered the 3" Flexwatt in 3' lengths to run the length of the shelves from Reptile Basics (if you order the connectors they will put it all together). I covered the back part of the shelf with Aluminum tape, put the Flexwatt over it and then taped it down with more aluminum tape. I can fit two 32 qt sterilite containers with locking lids on each shelf. My temps and humidity have been fine with that rack as well.
Forgot to add that AP will wire your Flexwatt as well and it is included with the rack.

Ive got a few racks, and cages.
i wouldn't go any other way, besides AP.
For my racks, i use a Ranco Thermostat, for my 4 foot cages i have a helix.
The downfall is, you do have to assemble them (and seal them if your getting cages) but honestly its worth it. These racks and cages will outlive most your animals.
Re: Rack questions-Animal Plastic reviews or product suggestions
considering they are more expensive. but anyways found a guy at pvccages.com i think is his site. he has some good deals but whats up with back heat and belly heat Its my understanding the belly heat is more desired for BP's this true it will cost extra to have it installed over back heat but I think thats the direction I will be headed.
