    Is she gravid?
Her belly is super bumpy and I can feel hard masses.

    Here are some pics :)

Oh and on a second note, do females calm down when they are gravid? Mine is usally a Witch with a capital B. but as of this past week or so she has calmed down so much that I can acctually hold her.

Such a pretty mom! Though I may be biased because I love all beardies... haha

Congrats on a clutch! Good luck with the long wait, I know I'd go nuts wondering about them!

I don't know much about beardie breeding, though I should look into it. Don't they lay multiple clutches? What temp do you incubate the eggs at?

Just curious since I may be put into the same situation some day ;)

Yes they lay multiple clutches each season usually around 4-6. you incubate the eggs at 85 degrees and high humidity.

I bought a male 4 weeks ago at an expo, and now she laid her eggs, which im glad that she did as well cuz she is kinda small, I thought dragons would breed unless brumated. but momma and the eggs are doing great, I candled the eggs today and all but 1 are viened, how ever. some look like they have busted viens? is this bad or can they recover? cuz 3 of them had that issue.

Hi and congrats on your eggs. First off are your male and female housed together? If they are you might want to seperate them males will over breed a female which could lead to health problems or even death. If you had just got the male a few weeks ago, did you mate them right after? Asking because it usually takes 3-4 weeks after mating for the female to lay her 1st clutch of eggs. Some females will lay infertile eggs anyway even if they have not been mated. Females will lay anywhere between 1 and 8 clutches of eggs and they are incubated between 83-85 degrees. The eggs will usually hatch between 55 -65 days depending on incubation temp.

When you candle the eggs you don't really see veins as you would a ball python egg what you should see is a light red or pinkish circle. This circle is the embryo and you want to have the circle facing up when placed into the incubation medium. If you are seeing veins and no cirlce they are poss infertile, as far as busted veins I'm not sure have never seen that a pic would help. If you have any more questions feel free to ask or pm me.

I tried to get a pic of them today. Didnt work so hot. Any tricks on getting a pics of the eggs while being candled?

oh and since they have found a new home, I was in the middle of a trade using them when she laid so I waited till I knew she was ok. and the new owner has them in seperate enclosures and has owned/bred beardies in the past. I still may have questions on the eggs though I kept them (didnt think they would make the 3 hour trip to the persons house I traded them too) but they are in the incubator I candled them today and all of them have the embryo. but 3 of them have bad vien "pops" and 1 has small "pops" unsure of what it means but, I should know in about 50 some odd days? :D
