ok I am wondering when to try and feed my new babys, the female is already extremely active mving around looking very comfortable and my male is hiding under heat he seems a lil stressed but should I try and feed the female tom? or wait a couple days. for refference I did not handle them just put them directly in the tank and let them chill out from there stressful journey. thanks for the help. also first POST LOVE THE SITE.

Who is Tom and why are you feeding him to your snake? (JK)

Most people let them settle in to their new environment for a week then offer food, however when I first got mine I didn't know this. I fed them 3 days after getting them and had no issues. Now that I know better I will wait, because even if they eat you risk a higher chance of regurgitation, because they are stressed from moving.

FYI, when they're moving around a lot, that's a sign of stress or hunger. More than likely stress in your case.

The normal bp behavior is chilling in the hide all day long.

I would put them in their tank/tub and leave them there for at least a week without bothering them. Give them time to adjust before feeding. Right now I am sure they are stressed from the journey. Welcome to the sight!

If im picturing what your sating right your hide is a half log with a ceramic tile leaned against it making a second hide right next to it? You should have to hides one on the warm side of the enclosure and on on the cool side. Do you have humidity issues with the ceramic heater?

Can you clarify - do they each have their own enclosure, or are they being housed together?

each have there own enclosures, the vision cage has a heat emitter with the tile and half log hide on the warm side and then another hide on the opposite or cool end next to the water dish with vines and leaves protecting an or obstructing the view.

30 gallon has two hides one tupperware covered with artificial leaves with a bulb for heat source and uth on the hot side. also I have eco earth substrate so humidity is 60-70 %

Should i feed them in there cages the first time? Or just throw them in the tubs for feeding like a rubbermaid.?
