You know, if you can't poke fun at yourself sometimes...... ok all, we are not all perfect and all knowing. Thought I'd share my latest goof with y'all.

For the past month or so, I've been weighing my near breeders & possibly gravid girls, so last week I made a comment to my ex that I thought it was weird that most of the girls weighed 1622g...(yeah y'all know where I'm going with this). well I weighed Thema post laying and yup 1622g, then thought how could that be she weighed that before she laid her eggs :confused:

It took me a good five minutes before it came to me....:O YOU DOPE!!the scale only goes up to 1622g I have ordered a new scale lol. I can't wait to see what their true weights are.

ha ha nice i see myself doing this when my snakes get to that size

I have one and it weighs up to 5000 grams, which is 11 pounds. its great :)

Yep, I agree with this. Mine goes up to 5,000 grams and if they get over that, I would be shocked. I bought mine which is digital at Walmart for $20.

I wish my scale would have err, nope 1622g lol, I went back thru notes cause I weighed first clutch. Gyasi was not 1622g she was 2270g when she laid. I can't wait for the new scale.

well at least that was a good goof. you could of zero your scale and put the snake in the container and weigh snake and container together. snake weight is less than what you thought. I've done this before, but caught it as soon as I took the snake out of the container leaving it on the scale to weigh the next snake and the scale didn't zero.

lol dont be so hard on yourself, we all make mistakes;), i see you said you already picked up a new scale but for anyone else and maybe future refrence, i got the "My Weigh 7001DX Precision Digital Scale with Weighing Bowl" from reptilebasics, about 40bucks and goes up to 7000grams. i really like it.

That's hilarious! I would have totally done the same thing...My internet got cut off once because I didn't pay the bill on time, and I didn't feel like going out to pay it, so I decided to pay it online. Thankfully, my bestie was there to save my life before I attempted to log on to pay my bill and then sit there and wonder why I can't get online! I'm a blonde at heart...
