he is looking for love in all the wrong places. My poor bee is one of 2 boys that we have...surrounded by girls. He has been off his food for 3 weeks....totally ready to breed but alas none of the girls are big enough for him. :tears:

Aw, poor fella - he might need a cold shower, LOL. ;)

I had that issue last year (boys ready w/ girls too small), so I actually went and bought two breeding-sized females... they were happy to have these gals, one of whom gave me a beautiful clutch in June. :)

How can you tell a male is ready or actually wanting to mate?

My Zeus has been off feed for about a month now. I wish I could breed, I feel so bad! He's next to a perfectly breedable female, but can't get at her LOL.

Someone needs a 3000 gram normal female!!! Tons of snakes!!! I would get a breedable female if possible, but then you would have to quarantine her for 30 days, so its up to you how you want to do it, i say just wait and let him chill out!

I cringe when my males go off feed, that's not how you decide to start breed a male

My males never went off feed 2 years in a row now, if I waited for them to go off feed I'd not be able to breed at all, lol.
