questions....i know might be a bit annoying but gotta ask
I have been silent lately as been dealing with the loss of a clutch due to swamp coolers and lousy apartment maintenance workers and well lets just say all in incubator coming out of eggs died from the heat spike while I wasn't home :( total devastation. However, beyond anything I can explain Kona's one egg that survived of three (it was her first clutch issues with one being stuck eggs rolled around for 6hrs) is still going strong now on day 54 when looking at the calendar. so here is my first question.....what are the chances of this one survivor being good to go as in no defects due to heat spike that killed 6 babies hatching?......also is it totally normal for the egg to dimple and as soon as you candle it the thing plumps back up like there was never a dimple in it?....ok and though I didn't take a pic right now (I will post one as soon as my guy goes to work since only when my hands are tied does he start asking 20 questions about where his stuff is)is it normal for there to be an obvious break through the center of the egg? besides veins there looks to be two separate dark spots at each end both move....is it an illusion!?! I know pics will help I promise soon not much longer till he goes to work..... http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...hlight=jewskinthe post about kona laying :)
Now I am posting this question here just because I have seen where some people have had issues with new ones eating....I-na-du (snake in Cherokee) hasn't shown interest in food since she arrived at the pet shop where I purchased her. I got her to eat twice assisted feeds though and only because her weight loss worries me. I got her thin from them the owner stated that the big ones had eaten but he hadn't noticed her even showing interest. The two assist feeds have been fuzzy mice one prekill after 24hrs in a paper bag with it and literally shaking her head like a dog 3 times before she gave up and took it.....this time same deal didn't want anything to do with it (f/t) so after about an hour and having not handled her period for a week I helped this time only shook it out once before just taking it....any ideas or advice...I refuse to take her back she to good an animal to die there I'd take everyone of the animals if I had the money but I save what I can she is one of them. So aside from the lack of interest in food she drinks and moves around fine just thinning out and well comes to the side of tank ur working on as though wanting interaction please anything helps....thank you and sorry for the rambling:please:

Hard to say dude...I have heard all sorta of trauma happening to eggs and they hatch just fine. I think eggs are pretty durable for the most part. You are so very close, just keep a possitive thought
On the non eater. Maybe raise the temps a little and offer a very jumpy hopper mouse :nerd:

I bet once her digestive system kicks in from your assist feedings she will be on track to murder some mice
