    Getting Started!
Hi this will be my first season to attempt breeding my ball pythons! I have 7 of them and I'm looking for some advice on how to do it. I've done research online on how to do it but I'm just looking for additional help! Here is what i have, 2 female normals, 1 male normal, 1 pastel female, 1 pastel male, 1 spider male, 1 pinstripe male. Its getting towards the end of September and I've been introducing my males to the females. but the males don't seem to have much interest? is that normal? and at the beginning of October ill start cooling the temps down. if you have any links or personal advice on what to do and when to do it that would be great!!! thanks a ton!

How long are you leaving the males with the females? This is my first year breeding bps too.... At first my male didn't seem interested but the next day I found him locked up with the female. :D

Considering I'm not cooling my snakes, I don't know when "too early" would be. They are locking when it's in the 90's outside.

To the OP...How big/old are these sbakes? Males and Females.

I have been getting locks like crazy since the beginning of September! A bit of advice...BP's seem to love T-Storms!

    Good question :gj:
    Age? Size? Setup?

I to started pairing a couple weeks ago and getting lots of locks...

Thunder Storms are a good trigger, also any kind of Low Pressure weather front I get more activity.

Well all the males are 1 yr or older and are around 600/700 Grams, the 2 normal females are 3ish and weigh roughly 1300-1500 grams, the pastel is roughly 1100 grams and is a little over a yr. the warm end of the tank is 92* and the cool end around 80*. they are in a rack which has tubs that are 17" wide 34" long and 6.5" high.
