I stopped keeping track of defecations a while ago, now I'm down to feeding data, (usually) monthly weights, sheds, and breeding data.

I don't really keep records yet, but I will as the collection grows. With only the one ball until last week it didn't matter, he was a weekly eater and a chubby little guy!!! Once the mojo gets settled and everything, I'll probably start a spreadsheet for feedings, sheds, refusals and weights (when I can find a better scale).

    For my main collection

I used to keep track of every feeding, defecation, shed etc for every single animals than I dropped it to just feeding now I do not keep track of anything as far as regular maintenance daily life goes.

Rather than keeping tack of the usual I keep tack of the unusual if a snake miss more than 4 meals I will start keeping track of that.

I also keep track of ovulation - pre-lay shed and egg laying (useful to have a timeline when breeding)

Now hatchling up for sale I keep track of first shed and feeding.

I keep records on all of my snakes with Richsballpythons feeding cards. I record the feedings, sheds, weights, and who breeds to who, that's it.

I keep track of feeding, shed(if I remember), and weight, and I only weigh them when they poop.

I always keep track of feedings, Sheds when possible but i loose track sometimes, also i will weigh them on occasion just to track the growth rate. All are backed up and saved on my Computer, no hard copies unless i sell an animal to someone else.

I just recently bought & downloaded the Vyper Tracking System & started using that. Before I used a bookkeeping spreadsheet & wrote everything in by hand, kept in a notebook. I really like the VTS, but have to admit I get behind on my info input sometimes. I can put it in anytime tho' as I don't have to go online to bring it up. :)
