    New Crestie!
I finally got my new crested gecko! I have waited for months for the weather to cool off enough for him to safely ship - and now he is here!

I am very excited - he is my first gecko, you see. I was going to get a few pictures of him, but I decided to leave him alone after his long trip. Perhaps I will get more pics after he settles in. His name was Yeti, but I am considering changing it to Nigel.

Anyway, thanks to Erica at Crown Jewel Reptiles for all her wonderful work!

Thank you, thank you and thank you.

It is good to hear that I don't have a bad set up... I was worried to be honest. But he just started eating as I started typing this, so that is a good sign!

Very nice! I'm about to update the crested enclosure I have. I'm going to try the tub method in the sticky(?!?). I'm also going to ditch the loose substrate.

In the sticky? Forgive my daftness - what is that? Do post pics of the tub enclosure if you can, though. I am interested to see how it turns out.

I have since moved some of the plastic plants around (and added one) so he has a little more protection on all sides. I also added one of those climbing vines to fill in some of the air space with climbing space. He seems to adore the changes!

Sticky's are threads permanently at the top of forum sections. Typically caresheets, helpful diy projects, and particularily informative threads get "stickied".

    Great looking boy!

Yep, here's the link. I bought the tub this weekend but I didn't have time to set it up yet.

Looking pretty good - might be beneficial to get a little more cover in there for the gecko - I always kind of think of it as "if you can always easily see the gecko, you don't have enough leaves/other cover in the terrarium." I know mine loves having a ton of leaves to hide in, anyway.
