Unexpected new pet.
Well, today was feeding day, so we got 3 live mice from the pet store. We fed one to Madison, the smallest BP, and saved two for Cleo (they are really small mice). She usually eats two with no problems at all.
However, this time, she ate one mouse, and refused to touch the other. She acted like she was afraid (which I can almost believe since she is just as afraid of F/T/, it is ridiculous) and backed into a corner. After 5 minutes it became clear she was not going to eat.
So, since our wild-caught frog escaped his tank a few weeks ago (hope he's ok, poor guy :( aww) we have that to use for the new little critter. I put some Aspen shavings in it, a spare water bowl and hide box, and put some cereal pieces (Kix) and raisins in it as food.

She is the only mouse--or food item PERIOD--that has ever survived the Colosseum (our feeding tub). So I feel she has rightfully earned her spot in the house as a new pet, and the title "Snake Whisperer". XD
She scared the pants off of a big mean ol' ball python who had already eaten her sister. :D

Other updates appropriate for BP section:
Cleo and Madison have both shed and look preeeeeetty. :) I'm so proud.
I might get a female pastel!!! YES!!! So excited.
I also might get my rack system "started"....basically mapping the plans out and picking materials. Woo!
Note for anyone that lives in Spokane: Though Rasmussen Reptiles says on their website they "breed ASF's, mice, rats," etc, they have none in the store. :/ I went there. They have frozen. But no live.
Spare yourself a trip.
