    Brumation?
Anyone else's beardie seeming to go into brumation already? Libby has had less of an appetite in the last few days and has been sleeping in her hide a lot more. I used to have to force her to go to bed but she's been in her cave by 7pm this week. And she's napping during the afternoon. It just seems a little early for her to be going down already. She did have a little blood in her poo the other day so I'm just a little concerned.

Well the blood thing is a concern but mine has been in that stage for about a month now. I still wake her up...try to feed her take her out in the sun but she is full on wanting to just stay in brumation. I did take her to the vet and she is fine other than she building in hopes to breed. But he said that it is early but he doesn't see any problems with it.

Cool, I figure it was brumation. It just seems early than normal. She hadn't gone to the bathroom for a few days and then I got that slightly bloody poo. It's happen once before and it was possibly just irritation. I'll just keep on an eye on her and make sure she doesn't have any more bloodyness.

is this her first building for mating?? I know that mine had a slight infection going on but the vet stated that sometimes if it is their first cycle that it can happen. We caught it before there were any signs at all so super early. ?? She only need 1 antibiotic shot and she was good to go on her follow up.

It is possible she is getting ready to brumate. Sometimes cold front that lower temps can trigger them to start the brumation process. Some of my females have already started due to the recent cold weather we have had here on the east coast. They start to put themselves to bed early, lol. Soon they will reduce their food intake and then start sleeping all the time.
