Most offten used method

How do most of u kill off ur feeders ? What methods do u use I am new to breeding I have inherited rats and now want to breed feeders for my snakes and to sell to other hobbyist in my area . I was just wondering I have read in a few threads about dry ice what do u do with it ? Thanks in advance for all the help !

This DIY Euthanasia article should help you out. It covers how to make a CO2 chamber, using either a CO2 from a tank or plain dry ice.

I agree, constriction is the practice I use as well.:D

10lb co2 tank, air hose, quick connectors for air hose, 6qt or 15 qt or larger depending on how many you want to put down at a time.
I place wire in the bottom to keep the rats off the floo and out of their own pee/poo.
My kill chamber works awesome, I use it mostly for putting down sick rats as I kill most of my rats like the others have said, snake constriction.

When I do, which is not often, I use a CO2 chamber due to the number that I have to euthanize (surplus)

This is the method I use with my surplus ASFs. Meijer sells dry ice by me and all you need is a small amount plus it is fairly inexpensive. It takes less that a minute and they are unconscious and about 5 minutes and they are deceased. I let the surplus dry ice melt away in the garage when the deed is done as to let the CO2 dissipate safely. I do plan on building a CO2 chamber but right now I don't euthanize enough rats to bother.
