    Constipation?
    Hello,

I have a 11 year old 'normal' female ball python. Since she laid her eggs (around 50 days ago) she has eaten 4 (maybe 5 - sorry cant remember) times. She hasn't made a pooh.

When do I get concerned - and do I stop feeding?

I've heard most people give their snake a bath in lukewarm water when this occurs. I'm not quite sure if they do it a few times or just once... hope that helps though. :)

Oh, and I forgot to mention that some people say that your ball python can get backed up? Not sure, I've heard it's a myth.

well its not uncommon for them to go a long time without going, but u can try giving her a soak in water or letting her crawl around on the floor. ive done it this way and ive always had success. good luck

I have a girl that eats like a machine and seems to hold it forever. When I think she has gone long enough I'll give her a soak in warm water and it works every time.

She will go when she is ready nothing abnormal here.

Your female laid eggs, lost a lot of weight, and the prey(s) is/are now being used by her to gain the weight back leaving no waste as everything is utilized.

In other words there is nothing left to be defecated.

Keep feeding her and when ready she will go.
