    Two BPs
I have two young BPs, both female, in a 30 gallon tank... they don't seem to be having any problems, eat/craps regularly, sheds good... the only thing of concern is if its bad that they wrap together on the warm side...

the hide on the warm side of tank is really big, and the heat pad below covers the entire width of tank, so i don't think their fighting for the best spot, so what could it be?

It most likely competition, each snake should have their own tight fitting hide for both the hot side and the cool side. Snakes will compete for the best hides and if one hide is more secure than the other, they will compete for security reasons. Housing together is not recommended, but you could make it work if they had their own hides, and they are the same sex to prevent breeding.

I would just put too smaller hides, that only one snake can fit in, in the same spot. They might just like each other, but I think they're just seeing it like, "she's laying there so it must be better than laying over there."

    well...
i cant find retail-hides that fit for what i need, so i just took two oatmeal boxes and made them into hides, and they seem to absolutely love them... i have space issues or i would happily have another 20 for them.

    Part2
I ran some tests and proved that they aren't chasing the best spot... I put 3 box hides in, and i would keep changing them around where i would put one, etc. and they always endup in the same hide regardless of where its located, meaning they go for the hide so they can be together...

strange..? can it be they just like each other?

I do not in any way want to sound rude, nor am I trying to be, but what will you be doing as far as space when they get bigger and out grow that tank? One ball python can not live its entire life in a 20 long gallon, let alone two... again, I am not trying to be rude, I just hope you have the animal's best interest in mind.

Well, if you are moving them around constantly they can not adapt to the new environment. Second, if the boxes can still fit both snakes in them, they are still too big of hides, so the snakes would still be competing for the best hide or for security. I hope you understand the point I am trying to make.
