The amount of time it takes for a BP to swallow it's prey
I got to wondering what factors affect the feeding response of a ball python. Is it mainly husbandry or can it indicate how hungry the bp is.

B/c Ive noticed sometimes my bp will toy with his rat for about 10 mins and then swallow it. And other times he will get it down in 5 minutes after him striking. What causes those differences... them choosing to toy with it or them just getting down to business right away.?

I believe it just depends on the snakes. I have some that are slow feeders and some that speed through their meal and they are all kept the same way.
