    My New 2010 Spider
Hey, I just picked up a new male spider today! Ill post pics up in a bit but i was curious as to whether i can introduce him to my pastel. The spider is about 6-8 weeks old and the pastel is about 2 years old. They wont try to attack eachother or anything right? And while im setting up the new terrarium can i keep them in the same 10 gallon tank?

    Please and thanks :D

I'm still a a newbie and learning new things everyday thanks to everyone here but I'm pretty sure you have to keep him quarantined for about 1- 2 months just to make sure he's not sick and ends up infecting the rest of your collection. So to answer your question no I wouldn't house him with any other snakes. If it was me I wouldn't even keep him in the same room with the other snake till he passed the 2 month mark and has no signs of ibd or anything else. And as for introducing him to the other snake not to really sure about that I don't have any other snake I'm pretty sure their not gonna attack each other. When you do the intro just keep a eye out and don't leave them alone.

No They wouldn't attack each other but as stated in the last post, any new addition should be kept in a seperate area away from the rest of your collection for a minimum of 3 months. As far as them attacking each other. I have heard of it happening in breading accidents but never intentional.

A 2 year old female should be in something bigger than a 10 gallon tank and definately can't fit two snakes in there. You should have a setup ready and the temps set before buying a new addition! I am picking up a female pastel next weekend to go with my male spider! I love bees!
