hello there, just like you i actually just opened a thread about this and still had failed... i have followed every experts advice but i guess my snake is really a picky picky picky eater. anyway, here are some tips

    * from live, try to feed a pre-killed first before the f/t.. so its some sort of a transition.

    * scent the f/t with mouse urine if available as well as prescent the room.

    * make sure the f/t temperature is close to that of a living mouse.

    * the younger the snake the 'easier' to switch.

mine finally did strike the FT, but just left it there... didnt swallow the thing. i was disappointed.

We just switched an "impossible" 13 year old BP a few weeks ago at work that had never eaten F/T before. One thing that I've found useful is for the first week only, feed one live moust as usual, and then offer the scented, warmed F/T mouse right after (may need to bump sizes down since it's two prey items).

Other than that, BE PATIENT. It probably won't happen the first attempt if it's an older snake. I tend not to offer live after that first week because I don't want to perpetuate old habits. I don't think there's a BP out there that can't be switched if given enough time.
