Help.....Please look at these eggs (Day 50) need some advise!!
as a 1st time breeder I have a couple concerns.

These eggs are at day 50. The temps are 88.5-90, and the humidity has been in the low 90%

I am concerned about the amount of deflation on a couple eggs (is this normal?)

I also touched an egg today for the 1st time since laying, they felt ALOT harder
than I thought they would be.
so much so that I would be surprised if a baby inside could get out!

can anyone give me a game plan from this point?
I dont want to cut them (or really know how)? How much longer should I wait?
is there a real danger of babies dying because they couldnt escape the egg?

also can anyone provide directions or a link on how to do it? I just want to be prepared should that time come.

I remember reading a post about wetting the eggs with water to help soften the shells?? is that really something anyone does?

They look normal to me, eggs are supposed to dimple about this point. Remember they are hatching in 8 days or so,

As for cutting, wait another 5 days, day 55, then pinch an area that is dimpled and you can feel nother but the shell. Use cuticle scissors or some other small scissor and sterilize them. a dishwasher at the dry cycle is perfect for the steam. then make one single cut at the pinch about 1/4 inch. You will end up with a V shape.

As a first time I would not cut until day 58 but follow the same procedure. This way your nerves will not be too frayed.

No game plan needed, this is perfectly normal at this stage of incubation :gj:

If you know what your doing its fine to cut them.I cut because i lost a baby that cut his egg and crawled his head out and then died :(.Its a lot of work for them and in my opinion its better to help them then to lose another one.
