Local Ball Python tragedy made the news.

I feel bad for the guy. No reason to use a taser on him, he was trying to save his snakes. Lost all but one.

That's terrible :( Lots of pet owners don't think of what would happen in a fire. As cool as having a fire proof herp room would be, it's not exactly in the budget for most people

Damon and Monica Baker lost six of their 11 pet ball pythons. They breed them.
They were able to save five snakes, not just one. The picture with the article is just one of the snakes they saved with a poorly worded subtitle.

Very sorry to hear a guy was tased on his own property while trying to keep it from spreading until firefighters could arrive. I wish he could've saved more of his snakes... it's always sad to hear of pets killed in house fires. :(

Does an Officer even have the right to tase you on your property trying to save your possessions? I think the officer was out of line and if he really wanted to help he would have helped the guy spray water instead of having a power trip and tasing the guy.
I'm sorry but no body is going to tell me what to do if I have pet or family member in a fire.

I agree, I think the officer was way out of line as well. I am glad he was able to save some of his snakes though, it's better than none.

I think that bonehead would be looking for a new job if i was the guy he tasered .I would also make him pay me to replace the lost pets because it was probably his fault they were not able to be saved.I say this because he tasered the guy and delayed thier rescue efforts. To sad the ones lost there lives :(

Just found this write up about the story. The person who wrote this is a real winner. I wonder if he would say the same if the guy who lost his snakes were standing there in front of him?

The person who wrote that article is definitely a piece of work.

Thanks, I doubt it will change the way that person thinks, but it felt good giving him a little bit of what he dished out back. If he feels the need to take me up about it, he can always look me up.
