    Refreezing F/T?
Is it safe to refreeze frozen thawed mice? This is the second time my bp has refused food in two weeks. He had eaten 4 times for me before.

I don't....once it's thawed, it starts to go bad......same reason people don't refreeze meat once it's thawed. They're cheap enough....just toss it. Not worth making your snake sick.

I will occasionally, but I thaw them in hot water in a matter of a few mins, instead of leaving them lye out to thaw.

That's one of the reasons I got another snake :P

I won't re-freeze mine. I try the other snakes and depending on size, lizards. If no one else takes it, I chuck it into the garden. I've only had to do it twice though, once with an adult mouse and once with a fuzzy. I surely thought my breeder male gecko could eat a fuzzy, but no. The dragons wouldn't touch the fuzzy either.

That was my one and only time trying to feed my lizards a fuzzy.

I refreeze but only if I thaw them in water. When I use the hairdryer to scent the room and thaw them, I don't refreeze, because like other people have said, it starts to go bad.
Since most snakes aren't opportunists, and kill their prey themselves, I don't think their stomachs are made to digest food that has been out for hours and is full of bacteria.

I have tried it before, not to worried about food poisoning a snake, never even crossed my mind. But I dont anymore just because mine wont eat them second try, so no point for me anyway.
