    Is this normal?
Hi, I might be getting a new snake however it has this green marking on it. i was wondering if it was just a part of the coloration or if it was a sign of sickness or if anyone had any ideas on what it is...

Can you ask them? It might be marker or ink or something like that, some sort of dye?

Looks like a mark from a sharpie or other type of marker pen. I've seen marks like that on beardies and other babies that all look alike in the same clutch....never seen one on a ball python, though.

I don't think it is either natural or a sign of sickness. You might ask whoever you intend to buy the animal from why it has a green mark on it. It'll probably shed off in time.

I've never seen it before... I'm going to say that is not normal. It is a nice spider ball python, but I would really look it over to see if anything is wrong with it, also, get a wet paper towel and wipe that green spot if you go and look at it. If the color comes off a little bit, it is most likely color rub off from something.

    thanks
I'll ask him tomorrow if it is just a identification mark. I just wanted to make sure it wasnt some deadly illness that would cost me hundreds of dollars once I got the snake. Thanks!
