Newly adopted normal is doing just fine!
I'm so happy :') I just adopted this wonderful normal from a reptile rescue organization, so unfortunately I don't know how old he is. The guy I took him from said that the previous owners were using a heat rock, so the poor boy has some burns on him! You can clearly see the burn right behind his head, and he has a few others along his body. But I think the guy at the rescue took really good care of him, because he seems to be doing great.

In this one, one of the other burns is visible in sort of the bottom left corner. I wonder if some of the smaller ones like that one will go away after a few sheds, but I'm sure that the big one by his head will always be there.

He ate his rat today! I was so, so relieved, because he seemed pretty stressed out, being in a new place, and my temperatures weren't stable for a few days (it has now been fixed!). But despite all, when I gave him his rat today he ate it right up.

He's in a little tub in these pictures (I have a glass enclosure for him) because I just decided to flip over his tank to install the thermostat while he was eating. The temperatures in there look great now. The Hydrofarm, which cracks me up a bit cause it's meant for seedlings, works like a charm.

Right after he swallowed up his rat -- just LOOK at that smile! Aww!

I know "he ate something!" is probably not so exciting for older hobbyists, but I hope you guys don't mind too much. I'm just so happy that he seems to be doing well.

Oh, and his name is C.J.
