Switching to a UTH i need some help
I have decided to switch to a UTH instead of a basking light for hummidity and a couple other things i just want one questioned answered. do i need a CHE or red light for the night time when i start at night the temps drop to about 75 but he'll have the uth on all the time and in the winter i will definatly have a CHE for the ambient temps to be over 80, thanks
Re: Switching to a UTH i need some help
ya u can use a CHE or red light on the cool side to keep ambient temps in the low 80's. i do that when it gets cold. just never turn off ur UTH, leave it on all the time.
Re: Switching to a UTH i need some help
the thermometer should be inside the enclosure underneath the substrate on the bottom of the enclosure right above the UTH. the T-stat probe should be outside the enclosure, some put it on top of the UTH i put it underneath.
Re: Switching to a UTH i need some help
If the probe can be effected by a/c or a heater vent then taping the probe against the uth and covering it with masking tape or electrical tape will help.
