We use 41qt sterilite tubs for adults and 6 to 12 qt sterilite tubs for babies.

most people put males in 28 or 32 quart tubs. If you've got an extra large female people use 41quart tubs.

I was also wondering if taking a ball python out of a 40 gallon tank and putting it in a 41 quart tub affect it in any way? the temp , humidity and bedding will stay the same.

As with any change, they may take a little while to settle in to the new abode, some acclimate immediately.
