    Ball python redish pink belly
    Been loving my new baby bp he just had a shed but he still has a bit of pink on his belly and on the belly thats closer to his head its a bit more pinkish red i have been researching and is it correct they can get a pink belly after shed because of blood flow its been about two days since the shed but mainly im concerne about the belly area closer to the head it more pinkish red but its looks like it no on the surface so i dont know whats happening. Please comment.

    can you post a pic???? (It'd help A LOT!) could be a burn...how do you heat your cage? I wouldn't worry too much...it's prob. just nothing...

    i have a heat lamp yeah i dont think its a problem it just looks like a glowy red kinda i dont think its anything im not going to worry about thanks alot though i keep thinking he has problems and it turns out he dosnt im just really overprotective and worrisome anyway thanks for the help

    No problem. I'm the same way...I freaked out when my snake got a pink belly right before she shead...in my defence it was pink for like a week and she hadn't even turned milky. LOL...It's good to be concerned with the well being of your pets. Good luck!

    Shed-related, most likely. If it's still there in a week, or if he goes into another shed cycle immediately, then it might be worth worrying about.

    My hatchlings still have a slight red to their bellies after shed :)

    IMO, I have seen this a lot in young bp's/hatchilngs. It is nothing to worry about. Takes a couple sheds and its gone. Sometimes it comes back, but they don't seam to get that red before they shed when they are older.
