RIP Skittles

My favorite Kingsnake, my first Kingsnake, Skittles passed away sometime on Sunday as best I can tell.

I fed him Saturday morning, checked on him to see that he'd eaten. I did not check on him on Sunday as I generally don't bother the snakes a day or two after feeding. I got home yesterday to a horrible smell, and located the smell. Skittles had regurgitated his f/t mouse, and his body was badly bloated - skin separating from his body like a balloon. Sadly, it's a horrible last memory of my good buddy.

I immediately checked on the two gopher snakes who's mice were defrosted from the same batch of frozen mice at the same time. Thankfully they were both fine and feisty as ever.

I am so sorry to hear of your little guy's passing. It's never easy to lose them. I'll keep you in my thoughts and hope that you can find some peace during this very difficult time.

Im so sorry to hear this Robin losing a part of your collection is like losing a child I am so sorry.

:( So sorry for your loss. Losing snakes (especially firsts) is so heartbreaking to hear about
