    Too much humidity?
If you've read any of my other threads you know I haven't had the best of luck this year, but I have noticed something about my setup that doesn't exactly look like the majority of you guy's. I incubated the ball clutches the same way as I do my corns, only at 89 degrees instead of 81. They are in an air tight container with moist vermiculite. I do crack the tops on the containers once or twice a week for air exchange. I notice that most of the eggs you guys post close to hatching are fairly deflated. NONE of mine were. They were actually very full, to the point where when I cut them they squirted fluid out a bit. Could this be a factor in my "bad luck"?

Well, that could be true, but the first clutch that pipped on their own on day 60 were that inflated the day before as well.

I would recommend putting a thermometer inside the egg box to make sure that the temps are accurate. The temp of the incubator could be a little off depending on placement of the probe.

Just one that is moisture resistant. I personally use one made for inside fish aquariums.

Any reliable probed thermometer works well for keeping the tub temps where you want them.
