On a forum today and found a post of someone on a video chat (it was a screen cap) showing a girl his python while it was eating. Would have been alright if the girl was actually okay with it, or if the guy wasn't blaming the girl for the death of the feeder in their conversation, saying things like "Why did you let him die? Look, his bones are breaking because you didn't care enough about him (talking about the rat)." The girl looked horrified.
I told him that what he did was not right, neither for the snake or for the girl, and that it was the last thing he should be doing while pythons are in threat of being banned. In a not so pleasant way he told me that he did not care and that I should go ahead and do some choice things that I'll get in trouble for if I repeat them here. The thread was gone before I could reply, which was probably for the best. I probably should have just kept my mouth shut, but I couldn't help myself.
It's people like this that make me grind my teeth in frustration. I wish this little event had gone down in person, because I doubt he'd have been so brave as to reply the way he did. Also, that boa has an owner who doesn't seem to care much for the animal. I needed to vent, and now I have, but really...
