Has Anyone Tried

Putting the Accurite probe on the heat mat? I'm sick of having all the bunched up cord in my snakes enclosure. I use tubs, so I'm sure it's not that much hotter above the plastic than below.


Any thoughts or other suggestions?

My cord is not in the tub bunched up, most of it is outside of the tub tied with garbage ties. I feed the probe out of the tub through an air hole, it goes back into the tub on the other side and is painters taped to the bottom of the tub under the substrate.

There is more of a difference then you might think. Just do an experiment, see what the temp is directly over the heat mat inside your tub and then take it out and put it between your tub and your heat mat. That should give you the answer you are looking for. :gj:
