First shed vs. First feed
Ok, I have a new BP that has not had it's first shed. We have had him for about a week and was going to start his first feed once he is use to his new habitat. BUT, do younglings have to shed before they have there first meal? I have received conflicting information about this. I have never owned one this young. My female had already had her first shed and feed when I got her.

You can go ahead and feed the snake. I have never heard of a snake having to shed before they are fed.
Re: First shed vs. First feed
I was told by my distributor to feed after they shed. I don't know if it has to do with the unbilicous being completely healed, but I'm sure its along thoughs lines.
After I think about it, it makes sense. The first shed markes that they are growing. In turn, the "belly button" they have will be completely healed on the inside to properly digest.
This is just my educated guess; but I would rather be safe than sorry.
