A few questions about my setup :S
I currently have two ball pythons, A male and a het albino female.
Im getting worried tho, I feel like the lightin in the enclosure is to hot. or to brig, not to mention its not a very large cage, and the lights take up basically the entire top of the screen. Both have hides and rather large water dishes, The male is eating, and ive had the female for almost 2 weeks.. and she hasnt eaten, but I dont really see a large drop in her weight, anyway This is what im housing them in currently :

PLEASE, any help would be appreciated. :/ (the bedding is aspen, and the bulbs are.)..

If they are in the same tank they need to be seperate.... and Undertank heater($24) is better than an get lamp because belly heat his better for them than over head heat.... get your gages($14) make sure they are digital..... check and caresheet on this site they helped me out a lot.... tubs($5) are very cheap you spend about 60 dollars

You can clearly see the seperate divider, there not together. I dont use tubs for my pets. but i plan on getting tubs for my breeders.

Have you checked the temps with a thermometer at all? Do you use a thermostat for the bulbs?

I'm not an expert on using bulbs for heat myself, but I'm sure you would be able to get a lower strength bulb or perhaps a coloured one that isnt quite as bright?

(Btw, a royal not eating for 2 weeks, especially when you've just got her, isnt a big deal. If she doesnt take the food, leave her till next week before trying again, so you dont freak her out)

If you are heating with bulbs you really need to get one for day and one for night so you don't mess up there day/night schedule. You can fing the red bulbs at any pet store but i would really switch to a uth

Tubs/RUBs are so much easier as you can use heatmats underneath. I'd only bother with bulbs/ceramics in a larger viv when they're too big for a heatmat in there with them

We currently use bulbs for part of our heat with our 11 snakes until their permanant enclosure is finished being built. We use 67 watt for daytime light for the small tanks (30 gal and under) and 60 watt black lights at night. You can pick up a black light in any store (we got ours at walmart). Works well for keeping the ambiant heat. If you are going to a show, picking up some heat tape would be a good idea for belly heat, its cheaper and they will typically put the plugs on for you. :D
