    Risks of Breedding Momma Ball
Interested in breeding and dont currently have any adults. Friend offered his Momma Ball to me for breeding practice if I could find a male for her to "Play" with. He's gonna get whatever survives so Im not worried about owing him for babys but I wouldnt want their pet to get Ill from any of this. She has never bred before but my buddy has seen her stick her "stuff" (HELP... not sure what its called??) out and and she is a nice size. What are the health risks and what can I do to best prevent those.

    THX

Sticking her stuff out? That kind of sounds like hemipenes, which only males have.

    How much does she weigh?

Additionally to the previous posts, before breeding make sure you do a lot of research and know what to expect way to many people those days get into breeding without doing any research.

Breeding involves a lot more than just putting 2 snakes together, you will have to learn about proper quarantine practice, how to pair and rest your animals, monitoring them etc, you will have to think about incubation, learn how to start hatchings, sex them, build a rack, breed your own feeders to have feeders on hands to start your hatchlings, etc.

Finally I would highly recommend you to get your OWN female to breed to your male (Obviously you friend's "female" is not likely a female) this will like work best for both you an your friend, last thing you want is to lose your friend because something happen to his animal.

Yea someone misexed him ;).If its a large snake and the person does not have the "feel" they could misinterpret the area and think they have a female when the male is actually squeezing.
