First Crested Gecko!!

So I never considered myself a gecko (or any kind of lizard) person, but I fell in love with this adult crestie we have at work, and it turned out that the same guy who bred him had some babies available. I couldn't resist :D especially since he was only $20!!!

I've had him (I keep calling it "him" even though it's too young to tell yet :P) for a couple of weeks now, and according to the guy I got him from he's about 2 months old or so. He's such a cutie and is pretty friendly already, but he still likes to jump around a lot when I have him out. I named him Ember since it could be either a boy or a girl name.

The main reason I'm posting here though is because I really have no idea about crestie morphs... a lot of them are kind of confusing. Am I correct in saying he's an orange/yellow tiger? From browsing around online, it seems like that's the closest. Does he have anything else going on? I'd love to know!! :cool:

He doesn't look like an adult yet, so he's probably still got some growing to do! Congratz I love Cresties, I have two :D

Oh yeah I know he's not an adult! He's only about 2 months old. There's an adult crestie at the place where I work who's SUPER friendly and he got me hooked. Then I found out the same guy who bred him had babies for sale, and, after researching and finding out how easy they were to take care of, I just had to get one!!

Congrats! What a cute little guy! I used to feel the same way, I was never particularly interested in geckos until I brough home my first Rhac. Now I love them!

My two are about the same age as yours, they are pretty awesome little geckos :D

Thank you!! Me too!! They're just such wonderful little lizards... I can't get over it! :D I was just wondering what kind of morph he is? From looking it up I'd say he's an orange tiger... is that correct? What would you say he is?

Yep, he is an orange tiger. And CUTE! :P

thanks so much emily!! :D I just wanted to be sure... I thought maybe there was something else going on because of the color of his eyes or the faint lavender color on his head. Or maybe that he was a brindle instead of a tiger. He fires up bright orange though!! The guy I got him from had an extreme harley and a dalmation too, but I liked this one the best!!

I love when Cresties fire up! One of my little ones right now is stark white during the day, and bright yellow at night!
