Success 1st try
Great news.. all 3 of my new bp's took f/t 1st try. i was worried reading about people having problems.... being such young snakes they probably werent hooked on live so didnt really know the difference .. all they saw was a warm object wiggling in front of them.

Re: Success 1st try
Do you mind telling me how you did it? I have a young one who has only eaten twice.. I am feeding him live hoppers. When and how did you make the transition. The previous one that I had always ate live, and I never had any trouble whatsoever, but I hear f/t is much better ...

Re: Success 1st try
i got some good advise from a youtube vid of all places... defrost the mouse in a ziplock bag to keep it dry, once ready blow dry it for a sec to raise the temp up.. then introduce it to the mouse and make it seem alive with tongs( or watever your using)... i tried that and it worked, they hammered each 1 in just a few seconds.. for some reason my spider likes to hold her prey for a min or 2 then let go and rub her face all over it like she is trying to love on it or something.. lol.... also my 3 bp's are only 3 months old so its not like they have been on live for 2 years and now im trying to switch them over..... but yes f/t is 100% safer
