Tame a baby snake

Ok guys my.snake has been at my home for a week how do u gain there trust I.picked him up.to change his water bowl he was breathing so hard so I hurried to.put him down so he could hide and calm down and he began striking at me. I know it was stress and fear wil/ this play out

How old? Baby snakes will not be "tamed" until they get bigger, I find usually around 200 grams you can start to notice them being more relaxed.

Babies do not feel as safe in their ball (curled up) as a muscled adult would, so they strike out to scare you off. Keep feeding, and as long as he eats, hold him once a week for 5-10 minutes. It will take time, certainly more than a month or two.

When you get hatchlings the only real instinct they have is their feeding sense. So thats why they are snappy. Some or more than others. I just got my female het albino at the Daytona show and boy is she a real pain at the moment.

I just hatched 4 het ghosts and half are really really snappy. It should die down adventually, just do your best to not get tagged. If you do, it doesn't hurt, it stunds you more than anything. :gj:
